Subject: Thinking in Public

Should you think in public?

Thinking in Public

This is my first post written after I've decided to go with my own simple generator. It's not going to be a very serious post. Just some thoughts about thinking in public.

Should we think in public? I think there are some tradeoffs. If you have just a completely unfiltered stream of consciousness, you get something like Twitter. We probably need some filters. But if you think wrong thoughts, as we do, I don't think we should be afraid of being wrong in public. We should only be afraid of being wrong in public and not changing our minds.

If you double down on being wrong, that's gonna be an issue. But I think it's good to be wrong, so that you can be humble. And I think the more times you're wrong and willing to change, the better it is.

It could be a problem, though! Because there are people who don't really care if you correct yourself, or they think that learning that you're wrong and changing is a bad thing.

But hey, maybe I'm wrong!
