I was in the mood for a treat last night after walking around Boston, so I decided to try J.P. Licks. Like most ice cream joints, this one was staffed with a younger generation. It was fairly trendy looking, which makes sense, since it's literally right around the corner from Berklee college of music.
I got a small apple pie, for nearly $8. It was... fine. I was hoping for something kind of amazing and unique to Boston, and since it said it was a local chain, I was kind of expecting something more. As it was, the bar that I ate at was kind of sticky, and there was a footprint on one of the chairs near mine.
The ice cream was delicious, but just delicious like any other ice cream chain, not distinctively so.
