Oh myyyyyyy! Zaftig's Delicatessen is a pretty amazing restaurant. It bills itself as "not totally kosher", but definitely traditional Jewish fare. I had some potato pancakes - they came with house-made apple sauce on one side, and sour cream on the other.

All of it was delicious.

The pancakes were a little on the greasy side, but the apple sauce and the sour cream offset that. I would have been happier with about 3x the apple sauce and 1/2 the sour cream, but that's a minor quibble. It was breakfast and it was so. darn. good.

I highly recommend it.
